Styled party.

I recently had a birthday, there was so much to organise and I had a certain vision for the way I
wanted to style it. Needless to say the weather had a different idea. It was to be outside with
lush green grass underfoot and soft white party lights hanging above the tables with jars of candles
hanging randomly hanging over mirrors on the tables. We ended up having it inside, but I still got my
jars and bottles I had decorated on display with the mirrors, floating candles and gorgeous cake
(made by cakes4AVA). It was a fantastic night with friends and family.

I styled with jars and bottles wrapped in moss, doilies, linen, paper and string.
+Cakes 4 Ava made the cake, which was absolutely fantastic.

Life.

We had a great family holiday on a recent trip to Tasmania.  Every thing was flowering, we got to see snow and most of all our kids had there first plane trip.  They were very excited.

The end of the year is slowing sneaking up on us all.  We've got alot of events coming up, a lovely beach session booked for this coming weekend.  A formal session and a promotional shoot.  I'm looking forward to styling my family Christmas shoot as well.

Don't forget to capture and enjoy the simple things in life, as this is what it's all about.  Enjoying moments and treasuring time with our loved ones.

My boys.

Thank you to all my new visitors, blogger tells me I've had a few people pop over and have a look, which is great.

I'd like to introduce my boys, Jayden who is almost 13 and the most caring, compassionate boy I know, and Cooper who is nearly 6 and full of character, as you can tell from some of the photos of him.

These were taken last year. I have a shoot in mind I've been wanting to take of them.  Will share when I've done it.
Thanks
Mandy D

Getting to know blogger and you my visitors.

I'm new to the blogging scene, I had a personal page years ago, but this is different this is a platform for me to express myself as a photographer, an artist, a mother, and a business person.

So I'd like you to get to know me.

I've got three gorgeous children Jayden aged 12 (nearly 13), Cayla aged 10 and my youngest son Cooper that is about to turn 6.  They are my inspiration behind everything I do.
My husband Jason and I have been together 19 years and we run a small building company together, well he does all the hard stuff (ie building) and I do all the bookkeeping and networking (smile).
I'm currently studying at "International school of colour and design".  Which will help me get to my goal of becoming a stylist.   So I can use the skills that I've learnt in my photo shoots and for my interior decorating.
Sometimes, things, light and colour just grab me in everyday life, that I immediately think how I'd love to take a photo there or use that prop to style a photo shoot I've been dreaming up.  These are the sort of things that make me happy, and I do because it gives me great joy.

Imagination is a wonderful thing.

Wow I've had to go back and find a picture of me, the following photos are from a little photo shoot Cayla and I did.  We had a lot of fun, as I always do with my girl, and they were taken a year ago.

So that's all I have for now, I hope you've enjoyed the post and I'll post some pictures of my boys next time, it's been nice meeting you.  Please leave a comment so I can meet you as well.
Thanks Mandy D

Ava's Teepee Photoshoot

We all had so much fun, Ava did not want to leave.  She had herself all set up in the teepee with her flowers, a book and pillow to lay on.  I love that what I've captured with these photos represents the happy energy we had on the day.

Photoshoot with William

I could not wait to do a photoshoot at this location.  Gracey was so adorable peeking over the trunk of the tree and finding her little brother William, just taking a nap looking super cute.

Handsome little William.  Look at the amount of hair Will has at only three weeks old.
Could he be any cuter.

One of my favourite's from the session.  I simply love seeing the bond between father and son and the way William's holding on to his dad's finger, adorable.
